THE NEW RACING PERFORMANCE

HIGH PERFORMANCE MADE IN ITALY

P ZERO RACE TLR RS is the latest evolution of the P ZERO Race bike tyres produced in Pirelli’s Milan-Bollate plant. This new product ranks at the top of Pirelli’s hi-performance road range and has been designed and developed specifically for competitions. The new tyre has a strong “racing” spirit; its focus is on grip, in any weather condition, as well as excellent handling when braking, accelerating and with curves, very low rolling resistance and less weight.

NEW-GENERATION SMARTEVO COMPOUND

P ZERO RACE TLR RS uses the SmartEVO2 compound with its original formula, which is further developed when it comes to its chemistry and process. Produced in the same Pirelli plants that create the motorsport compounds, SmartEVO2 is the result of a “smart” polymer compound – i.e. chemically treated to enhance the functions of the various polymeric chains – created to simultaneously offer the tyre grip and speed, which now have been further improved.

P ZERO RACE TLR RS features a lighter version of Pirelli’s patented SpeedCORE™ casing technology. The thickness of the tread and the structure’s fabric layers have been modified to reduce the weight (-8%* compared to the P ZERO RACE TLR) and contribute, together with the compound, to significantly reducing rolling resistance (-16%* rolling resistance compared to the already high-performing P ZERO RACE TLR).

P ZERO RACE TLR RS is a tubeless-ready tyre equipped with a new bead, whose geometry and internal structure, made with a different arrangement of the Kevlar strands, has been reengineered to allow the best compatibility of the tyre with the latest-generation rims, whether hooked or hookless rims.

FASTER TURNING WITH CONSTANT PERFORMANCE

The new SmartEVO compound uses a blend of three different polymers, each of which contributes its own specific property while guaranteeing a perfect balance of what are actually opposing properties: the goal for every rubber engineer. To finalise this project, Pirelli used its extraordinary experience gained in over 100 years of motorsport, together with the enormous know-how from cycling.

SPEED CORE

BETTER HANDLING AND COMFORT FOR MORE CONTROL AND A BETTER FEELING ON THE BIKE

The thinner rubber layer enables better handling, while the aramid fibres distributed in the compound provide the necessary mechanical strength. The high-performance carcass is equipped with an additional layer of highly cut-resistant fabric under the tread to provide excellent puncture protection in a wide range of conditions.

EXCELLENT PUNCTURE PROTECTION

The new P ZERO Race TLR RS is a tubeless-ready tyre and is equipped with a new bead design adapted to modern rims. Developed in compliance with ETRTO standards for maximum compatibility: carefully check your rim type and the prescribed air pressures before use.
